An Afternoon at the Castle: How to throw on that old blazer you have sitting in your closet

Have you ever been rummaging through your closet and spot an item that you haven't worn in ages, but still love? Or have you ever been going through your grandparents attic and found a vintage piece of clothing and you want to know how to rock it now? Well, today on The Sailor we are looking at how to kill it in that old piece that’s about to become new again.

Reusing older or vintage clothing is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Here David and Lane are visiting Castle Hill in Ipswich, MA. To get the best look for this shoot we tried to channel our inner Downtown Abbey and get dressed up, blazers in all. Both are sporting grey blazers that they haven't worn in quite some time. David’s blazer was recently thrifted and after a nice dust off it was good as new. A blazer can make any event or outing classy. You don’t have to be donning a brand new suit to rock a blazer.

If you’ve found yourself that old piece you want to wear again then pair it with something new or different that you wouldn't expect yourself to wear with it. This makes it fun and exciting to use that older item and see how you can step up your style game.
